Our Story

From 2 pilots in Perth
to repairers across the globe.

In late 2022, BSR was just a small but dedicated team — two estimators, a couple of support staff, and a vision. With no established playbook, we learned through trial, error, and grit.


Today we support repairers across Australia, the USA, New Zealand, and Europe — from family-run workshops to the country's largest repair networks and MSOs. Every day our team produces millions of dollars in accurate, consistent vehicle damage estimates and supplementarys, helping shops reduce backlogs, protect throughput, and grow their profitability.


We've refined our systems into a virtual estimating service that doesn't just write quotes — it helps repairers build better businesses.

Founded in Perth. Two pilot workshops, two estimators, and a belief that remote estimating could transform the industry.
2023
Rapid expansion. Grew to 20+ repairers across Australia. Refined systems, built quality frameworks, and added senior estimating talent.
2024
Million dollar milestone. Achieved $1 million in estimates written daily in the Australian market. Implementation of AI-assisted tools and our proprietary scope app.
2025
Global reach. Development of Plan4Profit. Grew to 50+ repairers across Australia. Held our first international team building event in the Philippines.
2026
Into the USA and NZ. Launched US operations under Sean Gillette. Expanded software coverage to include CCC, Audatex, and Mitchell platforms. Rebuild of the BSR training program.
2027
Scaling further. Further development into the US and NZ markets, with the start of a UK rollout.

Ash Jardine
Founder & Managing Director
Ash Jardine
Ash has over 35 years in the automotive industry — from apprentice panel beater to multi-site business owner, Director of the Car Craft group, developing greenfield sites, and working on the acquisitions team at Gemini. He has spent decades consulting and mentoring bodyshop owners, recruiting locally and overseas, and now leads a team of remote estimators delivering daily results for repairers across four countries.
Jim Damatopoulos
Director of Operations & VE Trainer
Jim Damatopoulos
Jim began as an apprentice spray painter in 1985 and has been self-employed in the panel and paint industry for nearly three decades. He owned his first panel shop in 1996 and his second in 2010. Jim now specialises in the Virtual Estimator space, training estimators and managing client relationships across the BSR network. In late 2024, Jim became a partner in BSR Estimating.

US Operations Manager
Sean Gillette
Sean leads BSR's US operations, bringing extensive knowledge of the American collision repair market and its estimating platforms. He bridges the gap between BSR's offshore estimating team and US-based bodyshops, ensuring standards, timelines, and communication meet the expectations of the American market.
Janice Jardine
Co-Founder
Janice Jardine
Janice co-founded BSR and brings compassion and international perspective to her role. With a background in medical and mental health fields, she is the driving force behind overseas staff relations — supporting and developing BSR's offshore estimating teams. She also manages accounts with meticulous care, keeping BSR's operations running smoothly.

Dylan brings years of accounting experience across diverse industries. Having worked closely with the BSR leadership team, he has an intimate understanding of the financial pressures in collision repair — both from a consulting and operational perspective. He leverages advanced accounting software to produce practical, insightful reporting for the business.

Alecks serves as the engine behind the scenes — ensuring the seamless flow of operations and supporting the team in delivering consistent, high-quality service. With nearly five years of remote work experience, a background in the medical field, and a passion for workflow optimisation, Alecks brings a sharp eye for detail and steady operational leadership.
